Zanzibar: 'Shop to Escape' campaign
This mood board conveys the basic themed elements of the 3 x 2 x 6 m display in the centre court of the mall. This display is higher than it is wide with the height measurement being 6m.
* copper poster hanging frame, inviting shoppers to drop their shopping slips in the competition box
* interchanging wreaths and garlands of pink balloons, green tropical elements and hanging coconuts
* faux palm trees
* Perspex and sand mixed medium entry box for slips with clear instruction (touch Zanzibar top zen sand box with high non-spill ridge/slip)
Campaign colours: blush and mixed pinks, green, white, sky blue and copper
Display maintenance: Display will be refreshed weekly, with interactive theme changes every 2 weeks and regular emptying of draw box
Display dates: 1 March to 30 June 2018. During this period the display will be made available in the centre court of the mall with the entry box available daily.
Draw date: Monday, 2 July 2018 (automated draw) for travel during the last week in July 2018.
Reward system: Lucky draws/competition with significant/high value prizes, are considered as effective reward or loyalty systems by shoppers, normally resulting in high impact market penetration and good results in the case of all LSM groupings.
Brand & destination loyalty: Due to the perceived value of such a campaign as well as the exhilarating thrill an island holiday delivers, a high level of brand & destination loyalty is achieved, and is therefore a great way of smoothing out growing pains in terms of new destinations/developments as well as psychologically correcting 'little mistakes and irritations' that could have slipped in with the delivery of a new mall.
Shoppers excitement: Adding greatly to the shopping atmosphere and excitement, an exciting and interactive holiday prize display is key.
Database and profile collecting of shoppers (legalities of this aspect will be covered in the printed Ts & Cs of competition entries on the competition poster): The Yay! Group Pty Ltd (Yay! Hermanus) will be collecting and processing the database of shoppers on behalf of the Whale Coast Shopping Mall and exporting such database on a monthly basis, to the Whale Coast Shopping Mall marketing management, in a usable format, with server back up and a live published stats analysis, therefore covering the aspect of selective target market research for the Whale Coast Mall.
The Yay! Group Pty Ltd will be covering/sponsoring all costs for this campaign initiative, in exchange for the brand collaboration as laid out in this proposal, of which costs include:
* return flight tickets for 2 to Zanzibar from CT airport +
* hotel transfer+
* 5 nights stay for 2 (share room) R45000
* set and display design & set up R20 000 (over 4 months)
* maintenance of set display R12 000 (over 4 months)
* processing of database and exporting to Whale Coast Mall R28 000 (over 4 months)
* promoting of Whale Coast Mall Cinema movie voucher offers R10 000 (over 4 months)
Total cost 'Shop to Escape' Campaign: R115 000.00 (campaign duration of 4 months)
